Tebra — built from the merger of Kareo and PatientPop — is a capable platform with particular strength in practice marketing and patient acquisition. This comparison is for practices that also need deep clinical charting, native AI automation, and end-to-end billing without leaving the EMR.

Tebra does not currently offer ambient AI scribing or AI-generated billing-code suggestions from visit documentation. Clinical notes are created manually using templates, and billing codes are selected by the practitioner or billing staff. Denial workflows exist but require manual identification, correction, and resubmission.
Trustro's three AI agents work inside the clinical workflow. Scribe listens to the visit and drafts a structured SOAP note for your review and signature. Suggest reads your documentation and recommends CPT and ICD-10 codes matched to payer-specific rules. Agent identifies denial reason codes on rejected claims, recommends corrections, and can resubmit — reducing days in A/R. The practitioner always retains final sign-off on every note and code.
Tebra provides template-based charting that covers common visit types well. However, lab orders and results management is limited compared to full-spectrum EMR platforms, and the charting system was not designed to integrate with AI-assisted documentation workflows.
Trustro supports structured chart parts — chief complaint, HPI, review of systems, physical exam, assessment, and plan — with both system and custom templates. Lab orders flow from a test compendium through requisition generation to a results inbox with practitioner sign-off. Notes follow a defined workflow from Draft to Pended to Signed to Amended, with full audit history. When Scribe drafts a note, it populates the same structured fields your manual notes use — no separate AI note format.
Tebra's patient-facing interfaces are primarily English-focused. Practices serving Arabic-speaking or Spanish-speaking patient populations typically manage multilingual communication through external tools or manual processes.
Trustro supports English, Spanish, and Arabic (with full RTL layout) across the patient portal, intake forms, appointment reminders, and statement communications. This is not a translation layer applied after the fact — the interface was designed for bidirectional rendering from the start, so Arabic-speaking patients navigate a portal that reads naturally in their language.
